Take it Outside, Valentine.
You might be familiar with our previous blog posts about Valentine’s Day. We recommend that you use that guide to plan your date or come up with your own, but one thing we love about this area is spending all day outdoors with your honey. Weather canceled plans are common this time of year but in Yurok Country, we’re shielded from blizzards and snow days. As long as it’s not flooding, we’re hiking! We’ve recommended a plethora of hiking trails, but the Lady Bird Johnson Grove Trail leans more on the romantic side with its old-growth redwoods and stunning views.
“Walk, Run and SPLASH!”
February means the Trinidad to Clam Beach Run, and this year will be its 59th run. (see what we did there?) After you’ve completed the 5 ¾ miles, you’ll be rewarded with a bonfire, chili, and that sweet, sweet runner’s high. To learn more about the race or to register, visit exploretrinidadca.com

Okay so maybe you don’t want to spend Valentine’s Day outside; fret not because Yurok Country has something for everyone!
