Welcome Rios to Rivers on July 31st at 1 pm Requa Boat Ramp. Youth from the Klamath Basin, Chile, Bolivia, and Myanmar will be completing a cultural exchange and learning expedition from the headwaters of the Klamath River in Oregon to the Mouth of the Klamath in Klamath, California on the Yurok Reservation. Rios to Rivers is a group of committed river runners with roots in the river systems of USA, Chile, Argentina, and Brazil. We are educators, artists, filmmakers, writers, scientists, coaches, philanthropists, energy experts, environmentalists, and humanitarians. This group of diverse backgrounds converges through the sharded passion for healthy rivers. Our passion is to facilitate place-based educational experiences that empower the next generation of river stewards!
From the majestic redwoods, one of the west coast’s most iconic salmon runs, and California’s largest native tribe, this small town represents the West Coast at its finest. Not to be confused with the Falls in Oregon, the town of Klamath in the far reaches of Northern California brings together the best of the Northwest in an originally Northern California style.
